Email writing entries (along with entry form) to firstname.lastname@example.org as a Word document with your name and “entry” as subject.
Entries can be ONE PAGE MAXIMUM saved as a Word document, single spaced, 8 ½ X 11 inch page with ½ inch margins and a MINIMUM of 11 point font size.
No student name should appear on the entry.
Writing entries must be consistent with the theme.
Entries can be fiction or non-fiction writing, such as poetry, journal entries, editorials, letters, or short stories.
All copyright-protected sources must be cited. This includes books, magazines, works of art and web sites, among others. A bibliography of sources must accompany all research entries.
Note: To change a Google document to a Word document:
Select the name of the file in the title column of the documents list to open the file in Google docs.
Click the “File” menu and select “Download” or select “Download As”.
Choose Microsoft Office application “Word”.
